What we collect

Nothing. QuickTodo does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. The app makes no network connections. We cannot see your tasks, your voice, your habits, or even how many people use the app.

Where your data lives

Your tasks — including titles, notes, subtasks, tags, lists, and due dates — are stored in a single file on your Mac, inside the app's own storage area managed by macOS. That file never leaves your computer. It is included in any backups you make (such as Time Machine), which are likewise under your control.

Dictation and the microphone

QuickTodo offers voice capture for new tasks. When you use it:

• The microphone is active only while you are dictating — it turns on when you start a dictation and off the moment it ends.
• Speech is transcribed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your voice is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere — not to us, and not to Apple by this app.
• Both the Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions are requested through the standard macOS prompts, and you can revoke them at any time in System Settings → Privacy & Security.

Permissions the app uses

• Microphone — solely for dictating new tasks.
• Speech recognition — solely to transcribe those dictations, on-device.
• Login items — only if you enable "Launch at login" in settings; this is registered through Apple's standard mechanism and managed by macOS.

The app requests nothing else — no contacts, calendars, location, files, or network access.

Analytics, tracking, and third parties

There are none. QuickTodo contains no analytics frameworks, no crash reporters, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party code that communicates with the outside world. Apple may provide us with anonymized, aggregate App Store statistics (such as download counts); those come from Apple's own systems and are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not collected by the app.

Deleting your data

Delete tasks any time inside the app. To remove everything, delete the app and its data folder — everything QuickTodo ever stored is gone, because it was only ever on your Mac.

Children

QuickTodo is not directed at children, and because it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of QuickTodo ever changes how data is handled — for example, adding optional iCloud sync between your own devices — this policy will be updated here before that version ships, with the effective date above revised.
